Why We’ve Pivoted to Toolkits

At Dana Briggs Consulting, our mission has always been clear: to inspire and equip animal care and use program leaders and administrators to achieve excellence.

Over the past year, I’ve been channelling my expertise into developing online courses, aiming to provide deep, valuable learning experiences for those in our industry. But along the way, I realised something critical—the process wasn’t serving you as efficiently as it could.

The Realisation

Creating comprehensive online courses requires a significant investment of time. From scripting to video production, the effort to deliver a polished product was delaying what really matters: getting actionable, practical solutions into your hands. The truth is, the people I serve don’t need more obstacles or time-consuming learning formats. You’re busy, overwhelmed, and under constant pressure to meet your obligations. What you need is something quick, easy to use, and immediately impactful.

That’s when it became clear to me—it was time to pivot.

Why Toolkits?

I’ve decided to shift my focus from online courses to downloadable, editable toolkits. Here’s why this format makes sense:

  • Efficient Learning: Toolkits deliver practical tools, templates, and insights that can be implemented immediately. No hours of video watching or lengthy modules to work through—just the essentials to help you succeed.

  • Faster to Market: This pivot allows me to get these valuable resources into your hands sooner, helping you address challenges and improve your processes without delay.

  • Customisable for Your Needs: The editable format means you can tailor the tools and templates to suit your organisation’s specific requirements.

  • Focused on the Work, Not Me: By removing myself as the "face" of the product, the focus stays where it belongs—on you and the value these resources bring to your organisation.

What This Means for You

This pivot is about meeting you where you are: busy, stressed, and looking for quick, reliable solutions. The toolkits are designed to provide exactly that, giving you practical wins that make your work easier, your processes stronger, and your outcomes more effective.

It’s also a way to share the expertise I’ve gained as a consultant and independent reviewer operating in both New Zealand and Australia and my experience running animal care and use programs in Australia and the United States. These toolkits draw on my observations across various organisations and address the common issues I’ve encountered. They’re crafted to help you avoid pitfalls, streamline operations, and excel in your critical roles.
