At Dana Briggs Consulting, we are on a mission to inspire excellence in animal care and use for scientific purposes. We work with organisations across Australia and New Zealand, providing independent reviews, consulting, and training to support high-quality, compliant, and ethical animal care and use programs.

  • Dana Briggs Consulting is committed to building a values-led, inclusive workplace. We recognise the strength that diversity of thought, background, and experience brings to our work. We welcome applications from people of all abilities, identities, and backgrounds—especially those who’ve felt unseen or underestimated elsewhere.

We’re not just looking for people with the right skills; we are looking for the right fit. Our brand is built on a foundation of trust, expertise, and professionalism, and we are highly selective about who can work with us. We value individuals who:

    • Are highly self-motivated, proactive, and take ownership of their work.

    • Bring a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

    • Have strong attention to detail and professional integrity.

    • Communicate clearly and respectfully, especially in complex or high-stakes environments.

    • Align with our commitment to excellence, compliance, and ethical responsibility.

    • Understand the nuances of animal care and use for scientific purposes, or are willing to learn.

Embody and uphold our values in every aspect of their work, ensuring that their contributions reflect the high standards we set for ourselves and our clients.

  • We primarily engage professionals on a project basis, meaning availability for the duration of the project is essential. This may include site visits and meetings during regular working hours, and work is typically in a part-time capacity. Unless we require specialist expertise, we prefer individuals who can commit to long-term collaboration. This allows us to invest in training you in our systems and processes, ensuring that you can effectively represent our brand and consistently deliver work that meets our exacting standards.

We work with a mix of independent contractors, freelancers, and specialists in areas such as:

    • Independent External Reviewers – Experienced professionals with expertise in regulatory compliance, ethics, governance, or animal welfare.

    • Consultants – Experts who can contribute to strategic advisory services, training, or compliance support.

    • Project & Administrative Support – Detail-oriented professionals who help us keep projects on track and ensure smooth operations.

  • We currently do not have any open positions.

However, we are always interested in hearing from talented individuals who believe they can contribute to our work.

  • To be considered, please submit a short video (maximum 5 minutes) introducing yourself. The video does not need to be edited or polished—we just want to hear from you in your own words. Email your video submission to admin@danabriggsconsulting.com and we will be in touch if a suitable opportunity arises.

    In your video, please address:

    • Who you are and what relevant experience or skills you bring.

    • Why you’re interested in working with Dana Briggs Consulting.

    • How you align with our values and approach to excellence in animal care and use.

    • Your availability and capacity for project-based work.

    • How you believe you can add value to our business.

Accessibility and inclusion matter to us.

If you have access needs or would like accommodations at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know. We’ll work with you to make sure the process works for you.
